HydroDeck
The Hydrodeck bridge drainage system was the first product manufactured and supplied by PDS and quickly became one of the world's leading systems for sub-surface and surface water drainage for bridges. The Hydrodeck system utilises kerb drainage to minimise the amount of pipework to be laid, increasing installation times and reducing costs.
Hydrodeck has been used in major bridge construction and refurbishment projects across the UK and abroad, and is a trusted by civil engineers and construction companies alike. Over 5000 units were laid continuously along the M6 Bromford Viaduct near Birmingham, making this one of the longest runs of deck units ever supplied in the UK.
The units are manufactured from ductile iron, making the drainage robust and durable, and are available in a range of widths (ranging from 165mm to 450mm) and depths. It has a single channel design for easy maintenance and high capacity.
Hyrodeck is third party accredited, bears the CE mark of quality, and conforms to the European Standard for linear drainage, EN1433.
Alongside the original Hydrodeck range, PDS have now introduced a lightweight combined bridge drainage solution, the Envirodeck. The Envirodeck has several benefits over traditional metallic drainage as it can be manually installed, is non-oxidising and can be colour coded for road delineation.
