PDS PLC were established in 2000 by launching a Surface and Sub-Surface Water Combined Kerb Drainage System for Bridges. Hydrodeck quickly became the World leading drainage product. This was achieved by offering a free of charge design service, holding extensive stocks and by working closely with designers, clienst and of course the contractors.
The original Ductile units were until recently the number 1 selling product for bridges and are still available in sizes ranging from 165mm wide up to 450mm wide in various depths to suit the construction detail. As Ductile becomes more expensive to produce with world scrap prices being at an all-time high, (leading to major problems with theft of manhole covers, gratings and bridge units) Pipeline and Drainage Systems PLC are now stocking the Envirodeck range of Composite Bridge Drainage units. These are lighter to enable manual installation, coloured as required (normally concrete grey to link with traditional kerbs) are by their very nature non oxidising and have a much more effective hydraulic flow.
