Balfour Beatty complete the new Freckelton Street Link Bridge in Blackburn,another installation for Envirodeck
The new Freckleton Street Link Bridge is now open in Blackburn and is another example of how the quality of Envirodeck units can complement a stunning bridge design.
Supplied in our standard light grey colour the units complement the bridge aesthetics and provide a visible demarcation for the road user.
Originally the scheme had been designed with our ductile iron hydrodeck system but unit quality and the lightweight nature of the product over heavy metallic systems convinced the contractor and client that Envirodeck was the best way to go.
Envirodeck will not require any on going maintenance to maintain its appearance unlike metal systems which in this case could have spoiled the aesthetics of this graceful structure.
