About Us

Pipeline & Drainage Systems Plc was founded in 2000 and has become a recognised market leader in bridge drainage and a growing force in kerb drainage and channel drainage around the UK and beyond. We are one of the UK's leading drainage pipe and systems specialists and offer a complete drainage solution for projects from the initial design and specification through to supply and installation.

Our original ductile iron bridge drainage system, Hydrodeck, can be found in dozens of major bridge projects around the UK, from the M6 Toll Road to the M50 Dublin - and further afield in Singapore and Bahrain.

More recently PDS recognised the huge advantages that lightweight products can bring in helping reduce installation times and increase on-site safety. We also realised the need to address the huge environmental costs incurred with traditional materials. In 2003 we solved both of these problems with the launch of the industry's first lightweight, fully recycled kerb drainage unit, the Envirokerb. Made from fully recycled plastic, the Envirokerb weighs as little as 14.5kg - well within the limits for manual installation.

The Envirokerb was quickly selected for numerous Local Authority and Highways Agency contracts where the recycled and lightweight nature of the units has had huge benefits, including the Leeds Inner Ring Road and the widening of the M60.

The Envirokerb was followed in 2007 with the launch of a lightweight composite bridge drainage solution, the Envirodeck, and in 2008 with a fully-recycled one-piece drainage channel, the Envirochannel.

The Enviro range of products has proved to be a huge success with contractors, councils and developers. Feedback about their design and materials has been overwhelmingly positive, from the smallest projects to the most prestigious, such as the Upper Forth Crossing in Kincardine.

PDS are proud of the fact that we are able to offer bespoke, cost effective solutions to clients' individual projects. We are able to do this through a policy of continuous development, research and customer feedback.

We invite customers and clients to contact us to discuss all your design requirements. And as we have in-house CAD facilities we're able to offer you help with selecting the right products and designing your drainage systems over a short turn around period.

“The service has been very good. We have made frantic last minute calls to get extra units which have arrived as promised on time!”
