About Us

Pipeline & Drainage Systems Plc was established in June 2000 initially supplying Continuous Kerb Drainage Systems for bridges. The first project supplied was in 2000 with Lightweight Bridge Drainage units to Tamar Bridge that lead to the innovative design of a recycled, lightweight Combined Kerb Drainage Unit, the Envirokerb.

Since June 2000 PDS have become the market leaders in the manufacture and supply of a ductile iron continuous Bridge Drainage system, Hydrodeck. The supply of which includes various Highway Agency and NRA Schemes such as the M6 Bromford, M6 Toll Road & M50 Dublin, and even further afield in Singapore and Bahrain.

In 2003 PDS launched the first Combined Kerb Drainage System made from 100% recycled plastic that would otherwise be destined for landfill. Due to the material the product is produced from Envirokerb weighs from as little as 15Kg, therefore falling within the Hierarchy of Control under the new Manual Handling Regulations. Envirokerb has been supplied on numerous Local Authority and Highway Agency contracts where the recycled & lightweight element of using the Envirokerb system has been seen as beneficial for the end user. Schemes include A30 Bodmin, Leeds Inner Ring Road and M60.

After seeing the advantages of installing a lightweight drainage unit PDS decided to apply the same principle to a lightweight composite bridge drainage system. In January 2007 the Envirodeck Bridge Drainage System was launched.

In 2007 PDS will see the supply of Envirodeck and Envirokerb on one of the most prestigious contracts in Scotland; the Upper Forth Crossing, Kincardine.

PDS are proud of their ability to design their systems around the customers' needs, offering a wide range of units on both products. Due to the fact they have in-house CAD facilities they are able to offer drainage designs/details over a short turn around period.
